Why birch is the trade's default hardwood
Birch lights fast, burns clean and gives a consistent mid-range heat output — the profile most open-fire and stove buyers actually want. It is easier to sell than oak (which is slower to light) and cleaner than softwood (which sparks and coats flues).
For a merchant, that translates to the fastest-moving hardwood on the shelf, low return rates, and easy conversion for first-time firewood buyers.

Our production process combines raw-material control, cutting, Pezzolato splitting, modern drying and trade packing.
The final order defines log length, split profile, moisture, packaging and the supporting documents required for its destination.

UK merchants sell it as bagged retail through garden centres and petrol stations. Irish importers move it into merchant yards and DIY chains. Scandinavian and Baltic buyers ship it into supermarket retail. Central European buyers use it as the volume base for mixed hardwood pallets.

Standard length is 25cm, with 33cm and 50cm available on request. Split thickness targets modern stove and open-fire use — no oversized rounds.

The quantity is calculated from crate or bag dimensions, species, vehicle limits and destination requirements.
Which chain-of-custody credential is available?+

We process approximately 3,000 m³ of round timber and produce approximately 80 truckloads of firewood per month. Our factory uses a state-of-the-art Pezzolato splitting system, 2 MW of heating power and 600 m³ of fully automated, firewood-specific kiln capacity. Supply schedules and specifications are agreed with each buyer.
